About

Welcome to my blog, Happy Food Ninja! My name is Adrianne and I am excited to share my love of food and cooking with you. My goal is to introduce you to easy ways to make delicious food, no matter what diet you subscribe to.

The name Happy Food Ninja is an explanation of how I cook. “Happy Food” is a term I started using when I started to eat eggs after being vegan for years. I called the eggs “happy eggs” because they were local, organic, free-range eggs and they made me happy. The term then grew to any food that made me happy, which could be different every day.

I no longer call myself vegan, but I am rather picky about what I eat. I try to eat foods that make me happy body and soul. This could be a plate of kale, or a chocolate layer cake. I will be sharing the foods that make me happy on this blog.

As to the Ninja part. I added that because I feel like a food ninja at times. I have gone through many phases in my life where various foods have been off limits for different reasons related to my health. During those times I re-make old favorites to fit the requirements of my current situation. Mad Ninja skills!

Hope you come back to the blog often and eat well!

  1. I love the title of your blog! Eating Vegan doesn’t necessary mean Being Vegan which I think people forget! Also, I spent some time when I first became Vegan finding myself buying organic meat to cook for guests. But now I just cook Vegan and don’t tell them until the end it was all Vegan 😀 Everyone is always surprised!!!!
    Love what you are doing!

  2. Your vegan sausage recipe has Worcestershire sauce in it. That is not vegan. It’s not even vegetarian! It is made with anchoives. Just thought you should know. I would hate for a person just starting to be vegan or vegetarian and using that recipe because they think it’s ok. Checking labels is so important.

    1. Stephanie,

Thank you for pointing that out. I just fixed the recipe to reflect your statement and ask for Vegan Worcestershire sauce. It is all I ever have on hand and I guess I just didn’t type it in. You should be able to find Vegan Worcestershire sauce in a health food store or a large grocery store. Thank you for reading and commenting and being so diligent in passing on important information!
